Sustainability

Natural Green Creative Spaces recognises its responsibility to manage and reduce the environmental impacts of its operations, products and services.

We are committed to:

  • identifying and reducing the environmental impacts associated with our operations, including materials, transport, energy use and waste. To help reduce mains water use and improve self-sufficiency, we have installed a ground source heat pump together with a 46-metre borehole and water storage tank, enabling us to irrigate plants using naturally sourced, ambient-temperature water. We are also exploring the installation of solar panels to help reduce our reliance on mains electricity for heating our greenhouses and powering our office space
  • setting and reviewing measurable environmental objectives and targets each year, working with sustainability consultancy Green Circle Solutions to help us measure and reduce our carbon footprint
  • considering environmental performance when selecting suppliers, products and materials
  • encouraging reuse, responsible sourcing and waste reduction across the projects we deliver
  • providing training and guidance to employees so that environmental considerations form part of day-to-day decision making
  • complying with all relevant environmental legislation and other applicable requirements

We review our environmental performance and this policy annually. Our environmental management approach is informed by the principles of ISO 14001 and, where relevant to our work in the events and exhibitions sector, ISO 20121.
