Earlier in his career Simon also worked as a Senior Ranger on a large estate, managing a diverse landscape that included a 600-acre reservoir, trout fishing, recreational facilities and conservation areas. The role required careful coordination of environmental protection, visitor access and operational management, ensuring the estate could be enjoyed while protecting the natural habitats within it.
Simon has also been closely involved in community initiatives across Warwickshire. He played an instrumental role in the Parish Paths Partnership, working with local communities, volunteers and farmers to improve and maintain public rights of way. The programme strengthened access to the countryside while building positive relationships between landowners and local residents.
He spent 16 years as a Countryside Officer at a leading boys’ boarding school, where he helped students develop a deeper understanding of the rural environment. His role combined teaching and hands-on land management, introducing young people to subjects such as farming, food production, animal husbandry and the importance of understanding where food comes from and how it is grown. The school estate included a small working farm, giving students the opportunity to engage directly with the land and livestock.
At Natural Green Creative Spaces, Simon will focus on operational efficiency, sustainability and delivery. His strong organisational skills, leadership experience and practical approach to problem solving will play an important role as the business continues to grow and deliver projects across the UK and internationally.
Simon holds a BA in Business Management and has a lifelong passion for the countryside, farming and gamekeeping. His background brings a valuable blend of environmental knowledge and operational discipline that aligns closely with Natural Green’s ethos of creating thoughtful, nature-inspired environments for events, venues and brand experiences.
