This summer, Natural Green was proud to be part of one of London’s most high-profile cultural moments—a pioneering botanical installation at the world-renowned Saatchi Gallery. Commissioned by leading brand experience agency Strata for their client PEUGEOT, the project brought together creativity, craftsmanship, and sustainability to celebrate the gallery’s 40th anniversary and PEUGEOT’s new role as Principal Patron.
Sustainability Meets Spectacle
Natural Green was tasked with designing and building a fully faux 25sqm ‘shaped meadow garden’—an immersive indoor landscape inspired by pollination and biodiversity. Every detail was carefully considered:
- A sculptural bespoke magnolia tree standing 4 metres tall, built in-house by Natural Green’s team using coppice wood and premium faux materials.
- A domed structure wrapped in high-specification faux moss cladding, forming a striking focal point for visitors.
- A green gallery wall showcasing imagery from PEUGEOT’s world-first photoshoot powered entirely by nature.
- Ground-level meadow planting, created from hundreds of hand-selected faux flowers and grasses.
The centrepiece was designed to be both impactful and sustainable—built to be relocated and reused in future projects.
Creative Challenges, Collaborative Success
Working in such a prestigious space came with unique challenges: restricted access in central London, operating around public opening hours, and the delicate task of installing large-scale structures within the gallery’s environment. But for Natural Green, it was an opportunity to showcase not only creativity but also technical precision and adaptability.
“The overall garden created a tactile, immersive space—inviting visitors into a harmonious blend of natural illusion, science, and design,” said Charlie Cox, CEO & Creative of Natural Green Creative Spaces. “We are extremely proud of this installation. The team not only had to be creative throughout the project but had to work in the gallery whilst some parts were still open to the public, navigate narrow entry ways and, of course, take into consideration timing restrictions of the central London location.”
More Than Design: A Story of Progress
The installation formed part of FLOWERS – FLORA IN CONTEMPORARY ART & CULTURE, the centrepiece of Saatchi Gallery’s summer programme. With integrated soundscapes and UV lighting effects, the experience invited visitors to see the world through the eyes of pollinators—a powerful metaphor for biodiversity. Alongside the installation, photography from PEUGEOT’s sustainable bio-design collaboration highlighted how creativity and science can work together for the planet.
A Showcase of Natural Green’s Expertise
For Natural Green, the project was more than a highlight—it was a statement of capability. Combining artistry, technical build, and a deep commitment to sustainability, the installation demonstrated what is possible when nature, design, and brand storytelling come together.
“This project was a joy to deliver—combining innovation, creativity and sustainability at one of the world’s most iconic venues. We’re thrilled to have helped bring PEUGEOT and Strata’s vision to life in such a meaningful way,” said Charlie Cox, CEO.
