Natural Green Creative Spaces was delighted to support this year’s Pink Ladies Lunch in Shipston-on-Stour, helping to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
The event, founded over ten years ago by Julie Morgan & Mary Sabin, began as a small gathering for the wives and girlfriends of Shipston Rugby Club to enjoy a day of their own while supporting breast cancer research. Over time, as more and more families and friends were touched by cancer, Julie asked her friend Pam Mcguiness to help, and decided to broaden their support to Cancer Research UK. The event quickly grew in popularity, outgrowing the rugby club and moving to its current home at Townsend Hall.

This year, 184 women of all ages came together for an afternoon and evening of celebration, fun, friendship, and fundraising. Guests enjoyed welcome drinks, a delicious lunch catered by Greek Outdoors, and a homemade assortment of desserts by Julie and Pam. As tradition dictates, husbands, partners and rugby players donned aprons to act as waiters, ensuring the ladies could sit back, relax, and enjoy the day. A lively raffle, supported generously by local businesses featured hundreds of prizes, and the evening concluded with music and dancing that lasted right through until midnight.
Thanks to the generosity of the community, the event raised over £6,000 in support of Cancer Research UK.
Natural Green contributed to the atmosphere with themed planters, including beautiful Mandevillas with white flowers and a spectacular faux blossom tree in pink perfectly matched to the event’s theme, and elegant floral arrangements for the tables.
Julie Morgan said: “The Pink Ladies Lunch has always been about more than just a meal – it’s about bringing women together, celebrating life and supporting an incredibly important cause. We are so grateful to everyone who attends, donates, and gives their time.Thank you to Natural Green, Turners of Shipston & Productive Innovations for their generous support that helped make this event happen.”
Charlie Cox, CEO of Natural Green, added: “We are proud to support such a meaningful local tradition. Our planting and floral designs help set the tone for the event, creating a welcoming, celebratory atmosphere. It’s wonderful to know that our contribution can enhance the experience for the ladies and help Julie and her team raise such an impressive total for Cancer Research UK.”
A heartfelt thank you goes to Julie, her team, the local community, and all who attended. Together, they’ve proven once again that when people come together, incredible things can be achieved.
