Cheltenham Racecourse is one of the most iconic sporting venues in the country and the November Meeting is an important moment in the racing calendar. Attracting around 70,000 visitors across the three days, the atmosphere is electric. Natural Green Creative Spaces has been a trusted partner to Cheltenham for many years, and this year we were proud to support the team again in elevating both existing and new areas.
A refined welcome at the Royal Box
Working closely with Cheltenham’s event and hospitality teams, we installed elegant planters with large bay trees and seasonal foliage. Our goal was simple: to create a warmer, more elevated arrival for VIP guests. We also produced clear, high-quality wayfinding signage that blended beautifully with the setting and supported a seamless guest experience.
A showstopping centrepiece for The Retreat
The Retreat bar, a newly opened space for all racegoers, needed something special to anchor the space and set the tone. Our team designed and built a four-metre indoor faux ficus tree, created as a permanent-feel installation that brings a sense of occasion. It has quickly become a focal point for the room and a favourite gathering spot throughout the weekend.
High-end hospitality styling in the Horseshoe Pavilion
In the Horseshoe Pavilion, we installed ten honeycomb-style planters filled with strelitzia or Birds of Paradise as they are most commonly known, and lush foliage to deliver a premium look and feel. This planting softened the structure, added character and richness, and helped shape the space in a way that elevated the overall guest experience.
Around the venue, we also installed smart, dense hedging to disguise back of house areas, frame entrances and provide additional greenery to the event.
Across the venue, each element was designed to enhance the atmosphere and support Cheltenham’s ambition to create a world-class race day experience. It’s a relationship we’re proud of and a brilliant example of how thoughtful, nature-inspired design can transform even the most established events.
