Account Executive
The Account Executive supports the successful management and delivery of client projects and events from initial enquiry through to completion and post-event review.
Working closely with more experienced members of the Account Management team, the Account Executive will coordinate client requirements, liaise with internal teams, suppliers, schedules, purchasing and account administration.
The role provides an opportunity to develop strong project delivery, commercial and client relationship skills within the events, exhibitions, venues, hospitality, sport and experiential sectors. The Account Executive will be expected to contribute to the account growth by identifying additional client needs, promoting relevant NGCS services and supporting the development of quotations and proposals.
Typical Experience
One to three years’ experience in events, account coordination, account support, customer service or a similar commercial environment
Experience supporting several projects, accounts or clients at the same time would be ideal
Some experience of working on live events, exhibitions, hospitality environments or installations
A developing understanding of budgets, quotations, purchase orders and supplier management
Equivalent transferable experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Client and Account Support
Act as a professional day-to-day contact for allocated clients
Support the management of client briefs, requirements, timelines and deliverables
Maintain regular and proactive communication with clients
Build positive relationships and develop an understanding of each client’s business, brand and objectives
Ensure client information, decisions and changes are recorded accurately
Escalate issues or risks promptly to the relevant Account Manager
Account and Event Delivery
Support projects from initial enquiry through to onsite delivery and post-event review
Prepare project schedules, job information, briefing documents and internal updates
Coordinate with the Greenhouse, Build, Design, Logistics and Finance teams
Help ensure that products, resources and services are available when required
Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding actions
Support onsite installations, event delivery and breakdowns where required
Assist with post-project reviews and capture lessons learned
Commercial Development
Develop an understanding of the full NGCS product and service portfolio
Identify straightforward upselling and cross-selling opportunities
Identify key contacts and beyond in accounts and build relationships
Highlight future events, additional spaces or related requirements that NGCS could support
Assist with quotations, proposals, presentations and client follow-ups
Support wider sales, marketing and new business activity
Contribute ideas that could improve client value or generate additional revenue
Financial and Administrative Management
Support the preparation and tracking of quotations, budgets and purchase orders
Ensure supplier and client documentation is accurate and complete
Assist with the allocation and reconciliation of purchase orders
Work closely with the Senior Account Manager and Operations Manager to support efficient invoicing
Maintain accurate information within NGCS systems and processes
Health, Safety and Compliance
Complete requested training and follow all NGCS health and safety policies and procedures
Work safely and responsibly while onsite
Support the preparation and use of relevant project and site documentation
Raise concerns, risks or unsafe practices immediately

Essential Requirements
Experience in a client-facing, project coordination or event support role
Ability to manage several tasks or accounts simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work at the Charlecote office when not onsite
Willingness to travel nationally and work early mornings, evenings and weekends during events
Full, clean driving licence
Desirable Requirements
Experience in events, exhibitions, venues, hospitality, sport or experiential environments
Knowledge or appreciation of horticulture, planting, florals or creative builds
Experience with quotations, budgets, purchase orders or account management software

Location and travel
The role will be based at NGCS’s Warwickshire headquarters, however travel to events will be required, along with client meetings, venues, exhibitions, and site visits and should opportunities arise international travel
A full UK driving licence is required.
